Welcome friends, both old and those of you who are new. A huge thank you and big hug for visiting our site, reading our articles, your comments and especially your emails. You know I love to chat and it’s always great to hear from you…
Following on this year we are going to share by instalments the why, how and what of our 150 year old French holiday house purchase. I will answer those questions I often get asked ‘why choose France, it’s so far from Australia?’, ‘how did you do it?’, ‘do you think I could do it?’.
I will expose the secrets of my dream and Why I planned to purchase a home in a country I had never even set foot in! The How will take you through the legal, financial and real estate transactions necessary to complete a purchase and how to avoid ending up buying a ‘nightmare’. And the What? Well, I’ll update you with photos of the house and its surrounding areas, and what we are doing with it now.
Along the way the adventures, mishaps and sheer good times I hope will entertain and inform you. As a family we have laughed often, cried with exhaustion, got lost and then found our way, stuffed ourselves with french gastronomic delights and explored much of France. Me and My Story will reveal how if your heart is bursting with a dream – all things are possible!
