The Film Lover’s PARIS
What beautiful friends I have. I was given The Film Lover’s PARIS book as a birthday gift from one of my girlfriends.
If you love Paris; if you love films; or if you need a theme for your next trip to Paris this is the book for you. The book is divided into areas of Paris with maps showing iconic movie locations with a full page dedicated to each location. Information about the movie, the main characters and tips for tourists is artfully set out. I reckon I could plan a trip for a month (or more) working my way through the book; dining at cafes, strolling the streets, swimming in secret pools, peeking in at the glamorous hotel lobbies and more. What is your favourite film set in Paris? Is a film lover’s tour of Paris something you would be interested in doing?
Listed below are some of the locations used in the films and featured in the book:
L’Hotel de Soubise (Marie-Antoinette by Sofia Coppola);
Á La Mére de Famille (Romantics Anonymous by Jean-Pierre Améris);
Le Nemours (The Tourist by Florian Henckel Von Donnersmarck);
Le Bristol (Midnight in Paris by Woody Allen);
LÁuberge Pyrénées Cévennes (OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies by Michel Hazanavicius);
Julien (La Vie en Rose by Oliver Dahan);
Studio 28 (Amélie by Jean-Pierre Jeunet);
La Boulangerie du Moulin de la Galette (Julie & Julia by Nora Ephron).
I hope this list helps you in planning your next trip to Paris. Get your own copy of Film Lover’s Paris below, together with travel guides that I have found usual in planning my trips. (Affiliate Disclosure can be read here)
