Bonjour
Have you heard or seen the vintage movie (1964) "Paris When It Sizzles' with William Holden and Audrey Hepburn? Well, the high record breaking temperatures in Paris of late made me think of this movie - have you seen it?
Have you ever seen the locals in Paris sunning themselves along the banks of the Seine River? At first I thought it unusual because I'm so used to going to a sandy beach when it's hot in my hometown Newcastle, or along the Pink Granite Coast when I'm at my home in Brittany; but of course if the beach is not close, the River Seine banks makes excellent sense.

Bonjour and love to you
Walking the cobbled streets of inner Paris, following in the footsteps of the Masters in Montmartre and mixing it up with the locals in the sunny gardens of Paris is always a treat, and I was lucky enough to do this for a couple of weeks this April as I fine tuned the design of my Paris Tours.
While away I took loads of photos and now gift to you 5 stunning digital download prints from this trip which you can print, frame or put on a mug. My way of saying thanks for reading and being so supportive of A French Collection.

Bonjour my friends
In France the sun is peeping out more and more, and spring with its blossoms has truly arrived. Outdoor activities are becoming less of a chore and the gleam of summer is in everyone's eye.
Always on the look out to experience new places and events to share with you I am about to head to Paris in a week and soak up the beauty of spring. This trip I will be researching and enjoying dining at the Ritz Paris, Ladurée and Le Train Bleu, a personal shopping experience at Galeries Lafayette, a day at Marché des Puces de Saint-Ouen (the largest antique market in the world), a day trip to Monet's garden at Giverny and a tour of the Paris Catacombs.

Bonjour friends
So it's snowed recently in France with freezing temperatures and snow being the popular topic of conversation - especially in Paris where snow is a rarity. Have you seen Paris' iconic landmarks covered with snow?
Enjoying a hot coffee or chocolate is always so much better after a brisk walk in freezing weather and with all patrons huddled indoors, cafes and restaurants are busy, but cozy havens from the outdoors.
