The Anglo-French Exchange: Book Review
Learning French, and looking for a different style of book to fast track your language skills? The Anglo-French Exchange by Dr Allswell E. Eno is a fabulous book that's certainly unique and I love it.
The Anglo-French Exchange
Dr Allswell Eno brings his passion about the power of words and their role in shaping society into every page of this learning resource. The doctor's fascination with language and its nuances led him to write this impressive textbook, which explores the enduring relationship between French and English. His love of the French language began at school and has continued into his professional life. He trained in medicine at St Thomas' Hospital Medical School, now part of King's College, London. After practising hospital medicine to registrar level in a range of specialists, Dr Allswell Eno switched to general practice training.

Why Dr Eno Wrote The Anglo-French Exchange
In this role, an increasing number of French-speaking patients came to his practice, and this encouraged him to improve his language skills. Finding that many language books were formal and dry, he decided to write his own book!
The Anglo-French Exchange explores idiosyncrasies, and means of expression that will help you speak like a native. The book is filled with real-life examples, and conversation and writing variations that might crop up in different contexts.
Written for anyone who already has a good grasp of French as their second language, and who wants to reach the "next level", I recommend this unique book. With so many varied learning resources in my library, this book stands out with its soft cover, good quality paper and comprehensive subject chapters. I have the paperback edition which feels lovely to study with and learning a second language with real-life conversations and contexts is a refreshing change.
