My throwback photo to colder weather in Paris starts it all off this week.
Everything you need to know about Paris' plages - An unmissable event since 2002, Paris Plages returns for its 24th edition from July 4th at the Parc des Rives de Seine and the Bassin de la Villette. Paris Plages is the destination for Parisians who are not going on holiday! As every year, there is a free range of activities for young and old at two iconic locations: the Bassin de la Villette (19th) and the Parc des Rives de Seine (Paris Centre).
Vikings: An Odyssey to the Ends of the Earth - Exhibition in Nice - A true immersion in French history, this narrated journey plunges visitors into the Viking Age with a sound and light show, breathtaking sets, and a wealth of archaeological objects and artifacts.
Keep Cool in the Heatwave in Paris - The Petit Palais is a true architectural masterpiece designed by Charles Girault for the 1900 Universal Exhibition. The museum is one of the city's treasure troves. With free admission and a climate-controlled building with cooled spaces, it's a great choice during hot weather in Paris. A current temporary exhibition is An Exploration of Urban Art at the Petit Palais.
What I'm Reading at the moment - Join me as I currently read Alignment by Tracy Chollet. Set amongst the incredible standing stones and megaliths of the ancient town, Carnac (which our family were fascinated by) the book has me hooked so far. Send me your thoughts by email or Instagram DM and I'll chat online with you as we read through the book together. My full book review will be published along with author's notes and behind the scenes discussions in the near future. Buy your copy on Amazon here.
