What I'm Loving this week with Annette standing in front of a village lake

I don't know whether to be flattered or not, but more and more when I search and google for current dates of events, or want to research a little more, my own text and website is referred to as the number one authority in the AI Overview section on Google. Would you feel flattered that your work is now the first and foremost authority on a subject? Or is it a worry that your work will now be used, remade and reworded by others? A possible new and interesting dilemma for any creative that is an authority in their niche. With over 150 of my blog posts featuring on the first page of Google searches, I guess this is a complimentary way of saying my work is well appreciated for its originality, factual integrity and it's popular with readers.

I found my work featured in the AI Overview again when looking for the dates of Quintin's next Street Singers Festival this year in November. I wanted to check the dates of the festival to see if I'll be able to attend again and to share the festival details with you all. Hopefully it won't be raining - but Brittany can be the wettest region in France, so my fingers are crossed!! Now to all our links and What I'm Loving This Week

Renoir paintings worth millions stolen in French museum heist - I was sad to find out about this latest robbery of priceless artwork. "Two paintings by the impressionist artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir have been stolen from a museum in the south of France. Two thieves broke into the Renoir Museum in Cagnes-sur-Mer early on Tuesday, seizing four paintings but dropping two of the works in the museum gardens as they escaped", local Mayor Bryan Masson said.

Where to Repair Clothes in Paris: The City’s Five Finest Tailors and Master Cobblers - As the fashion capital of the world, Paris has always had a healthy supply of skilled tailors and cobblers. Preserving these businesses is a citywide effort: local authorities offer them lower rents and last autumn the government also introduced new legislation to incentivise Parisians to visit their local workshops more frequently.

Annie Bouquet: House of Hand-Painted Exclusive Tapestry - In Paris in a small atellier, Annie and Mylène create exclusive hand-painted tapestry canvases. After extensive research they recreate historical motifs and some modern designs that have inspired a worldwide following of needlework lovers. Their wools are dyed in Aubusson, France exclusively for them. Anyone who likes needlework will fall in love with the designs at Annie bouquet I'm sure. I'd love to visit this store in November.

Quintin Street Singers Festival - a great well attended local festival in gorgeous historic Quintin in Brittany. Known locally in French as the Festival des Chanteurs de Rue, the two day event will take place from November 7 to November 8, 2026. This marks the 33rd edition of the popular music event, which transforms the historic, charming town of Quintin, France, into a lively open-air stage. Do I need to declare some of this text is AI generated, if it's taken from my own website... ? I think not. So this link takes us directly to our own blog post and my post on Quintin - A Charming French Town.
